What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the franchisor's standards and specifications, which may evolve over time. Specifically, franchisees are obligated to purchase and install fixtures, furnishings, supplies, and equipment, including décor and signs, as reasonably directed by Beggars Pizza. They must also refrain from installing any items on the premises without prior written consent from Beggars Pizza. This ensures uniformity and consistency across all franchise locations, maintaining the brand's image and customer experience.

Beggars Pizza franchisees are also required to maintain the premises in excellent condition and make necessary additions, alterations, repairs, and replacements as directed by Beggars Pizza. This includes periodic repainting or replacement of obsolete signs, furnishings, equipment, and décor. Furthermore, at Beggars Pizza's request, but no more than once every five years (unless required sooner by the lease), franchisees must refurbish the premises to conform to the current image for new Beggars Pizza restaurants. This refurbishment may involve structural changes, remodeling, redecoration, and modifications to existing improvements, all at the franchisee's expense.

These requirements ensure that all Beggars Pizza locations remain up-to-date and consistent with the brand's standards. While these obligations help maintain the quality and image of the franchise, franchisees should be aware of the potential costs associated with these requirements. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in these ongoing expenses when evaluating the financial feasibility of investing in a Beggars Pizza franchise.
