Is the Beggars Pizza franchisee required to comply with the franchisor's requirements for telecommunications connections?

Franchisor may, but is not obligated to, establish an Extranet. The term "Extranet" means a private network based upon Internet protocols that will allow users inside and outside of Franchisor's headquarters to access certain parts of Franchisor's computer network via the Internet. If Franchisor does establish an Extranet, then Franchisee must comply with Franchisor's requirements (as set forth in the Manual or otherwise in writing) with respect to connecting to the Extranet and utilizing the Extranet in connection with the operation of the Restaurant. The Extranet may include, without limitation, the Manual, training and other assistance materials, and management reporting solutions (both upstream and downstream, as Franchisor may direct). Franchisee must purchase and maintain such computer software and hardware (including, without limitation, telecommunications capacity) as may be required to connect to and utilize the Extranet.

Beggars Pizza franchisees must also comply with the franchisor's requirements for establishing and maintaining telecommunications connections between the franchisee's computer system, the Extranet, and any other computer systems that Beggars Pizza may reasonably require. This ensures that all locations are connected and can communicate effectively with the franchisor.
