Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisor may, but is not obligated to, establish an Extranet. The term "Extranet" means a private network based upon Internet protocols that will allow users inside and outside of Franchisor's headquarters to access certain parts of Franchisor's computer network via the Internet. If Franchisor does establish an Extranet, then Franchisee must comply with Franchisor's requirements (as set forth in the Manual or otherwise in writing) with respect to connecting to the Extranet and utilizing the Extranet in connection with the operation of the Restaurant. The Extranet may include, without limitation, the Manual, training and other assistance materials, and management reporting solutions (both upstream and downstream, as Franchisor may direct). Franchisee must purchase and maintain such computer software and hardware (including, without limitation, telecommunications capacity) as may be required to connect to and utilize the Extranet.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Beggars Pizza establishes an Extranet, franchisees must comply with the franchisor's requirements for connecting to and utilizing it. These requirements will be detailed in the Manual or in writing. The Extranet is a private network that allows users inside and outside Beggars Pizza's headquarters to access parts of its computer network via the Internet.

To connect to and use the Extranet, franchisees must purchase and maintain the necessary computer software and hardware, including telecommunications capacity. Beggars Pizza may also require franchisees to install a video, voice, and data system accessible in real-time by both the franchisor and franchisee through a secure Internet website. This system must meet Beggars Pizza's current written standards.

Beggars Pizza franchisees must also comply with the franchisor's requirements for establishing and maintaining telecommunications connections between the franchisee's computer system, the Extranet, and any other computer systems that Beggars Pizza may reasonably require. This ensures that all locations are connected and can communicate effectively with the franchisor.
