What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee needs to get prior written consent from Beggars Pizza before installing or permitting the installation of any fixtures, furnishings, equipment, decor, signs, or other items on or about the premises. This requirement ensures that all Beggars Pizza locations maintain a consistent brand image and meet the franchisor's standards.

This means that any changes or additions a franchisee wants to make to the restaurant's physical appearance or functionality must first be approved by Beggars Pizza. This includes not only major installations but also smaller details like decor and signage. The franchisee is responsible for purchasing and installing all fixtures, furnishings, supplies, and equipment as directed by Beggars Pizza.

The FDD also states that all products, materials, supplies, paper goods, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment used or sold at the Restaurant must meet Beggars Pizza's current standards and specifications. This reinforces the franchisor's control over the restaurant's appearance and operations, ensuring uniformity across all franchise locations.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they will have limited autonomy in designing or modifying the restaurant's layout or appearance. They must adhere to Beggars Pizza's guidelines and obtain approval for any changes, which could potentially increase costs and reduce flexibility. However, this also ensures that the restaurant aligns with the established Beggars Pizza brand, which can be beneficial in attracting customers and maintaining brand recognition.
