What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their restaurants under the Beggars Pizza system and proprietary marks, adhering to the franchisor's standards and specifications. The franchisor retains the sole discretion to change and improve the system over time. This means a franchisee cannot unilaterally implement changes to the Beggars Pizza system without the franchisor's approval.

The agreement emphasizes the importance of maintaining Beggars Pizza's standards of quality, cleanliness, appearance, and service. This is further reinforced by the franchisee's obligation to participate in promotional programs and online ordering systems developed by Beggars Pizza. These programs are prescribed by Beggars Pizza in the manual or in writing, and franchisees must comply with all policies regarding advertising and promotion.

Franchisees are required to operate at an approved location and cannot relocate without prior written approval from Beggars Pizza, which the franchisor may withhold at its sole discretion. This level of control ensures uniformity and consistency across all Beggars Pizza locations, protecting the brand's image and customer experience. The franchise agreement specifies that Beggars Pizza's usual business is offering and selling rights to operate Beggars Pizza restaurants using the Proprietary Marks and System, developing enhancements to the System, and providing assistance to franchisees.

Overall, the franchise agreement grants Beggars Pizza significant control over the operation and standards of its restaurants. Franchisees are expected to follow the established system and obtain approval for any deviations, ensuring brand consistency and quality control across all locations.
