What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their restaurants in strict accordance with the methods, standards, and specifications that Beggars Pizza prescribes in its manual or in writing. A franchisee must refrain from deviating from these standards, specifications, and procedures without Beggars Pizza's prior written consent. This requirement is in place to maintain high operating standards, increase demand for products across all Beggars Pizza restaurants, and protect the franchisor's reputation and goodwill.
Beggars Pizza has developed proprietary and confidential recipes, including pizza dough, spaghetti and pizza sauces, sausage, and secret spice blends, which are part of the Beggars Pizza system. These items are considered essential to the operation of the restaurant. Franchisees are required to purchase these items, along with other food items and supplies, from Begcom or other designated suppliers to ensure uniform quality and image. Begcom is the designated supplier for items such as cheeses, sausages, and paper products, some of which bear proprietary marks.
All products sold or offered for sale at the restaurant must meet Beggars Pizza's current standards and specifications, as outlined in the manual or in writing. Franchisees must purchase all food items, ingredients, supplies, materials, and equipment for which Beggars Pizza has established standards or specifications solely from Beggars Pizza, its affiliates, or approved suppliers. These suppliers must demonstrate their ability to meet Beggars Pizza's standards and specifications, maintain adequate quality controls, and have the capacity to supply the franchisee's needs promptly and reliably. Beggars Pizza may also require franchisees to purchase approved products, equipment, and merchandise exclusively from Beggars Pizza or its affiliates.
