To whom and how should a Beggars Pizza franchisee address a request for advertising material approval?
Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Franchisee must submit to Franchisor samples of all advertising and promotional plans and materials (including, without limitation, any design, advertisement, sign, or form of publicity) and proposed coupons for any print, broadcast, cable, electronic, computer, or other media (including, without limitation, the Internet) that Franchisee desires to use and that have not been prepared or previously approved by Franchisor within the preceding six (6) months (as provided in Section 21), for Franchisor's prior approval (including with respect to prices to be charged).
Any request by Franchisee for Franchisor's approval of advertising materials must be addressed to Franchisor and marked "Attention: Advertising Department – Ad Review." Franchisee will not use such plans or materials or coupons until they have been approved in writing by Franchisor.
If written notice of approval is not received by Franchisee from Franchisor within fifteen (15) days of the date of receipt by Franchisor of such samples or materials, Franchisor will be deemed to have disapproved them.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee seeking approval for advertising materials must submit samples of all advertising and promotional plans to Beggars Pizza. This includes designs, advertisements, signs, proposed coupons, and any form of publicity intended for print, broadcast, cable, electronic, computer, or other media, including the Internet, that have not been previously approved within the last six months.
The request for approval must be specifically addressed to Beggars Pizza and clearly marked with "Attention: Advertising Department – Ad Review." The franchisee is prohibited from using any advertising or promotional materials until they receive written approval from Beggars Pizza.
If the franchisee does not receive written notice of approval or disapproval from Beggars Pizza within fifteen days of the franchisor's receipt of the submitted materials, the advertising is automatically considered disapproved. This requirement ensures that all advertising aligns with Beggars Pizza's brand standards and marketing strategies, and it is a common practice in franchising to maintain brand consistency.
