What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to all relevant laws concerning the privacy of consumer, employee, and transactional data. Beggars Pizza retains ownership of all data related to the restaurant, including customer information. However, Beggars Pizza grants the franchisee a royalty-free, nonexclusive license to use this data during the term of the Franchise Agreement.
This means that while franchisees can utilize the data for operating their Beggars Pizza restaurant, they must do so in compliance with privacy laws. Franchisees cannot independently create or change data privacy policies without first obtaining written consent from Beggars Pizza.
This requirement ensures that all Beggars Pizza locations maintain consistent data privacy practices and comply with legal standards. Prospective franchisees should understand their obligations regarding data collection, storage, and usage, and how these activities must align with Beggars Pizza's policies and applicable laws.
