What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement does specify required upgrades or renovations as a condition of renewal. To renew the franchise agreement for an additional ten-year term, a franchisee must complete all maintenance, refurbishing, renovating, and remodeling of the restaurant. This includes all equipment, fixtures, furnishings, and interior and exterior signage.

These renovations and upgrades must be completed to Beggars Pizza's standards, ensuring the restaurant reflects the then-current image of a Beggars Pizza restaurant. This requirement ensures that all renewed locations maintain a consistent brand image and meet current customer expectations.

In addition to these renovations, the franchisee must meet several other conditions to renew the agreement, including providing written notice of their intent to renew, demonstrating compliance with the existing franchise agreement, fulfilling all financial obligations, providing evidence of their ability to remain in possession of the restaurant premises, executing the then-current form of the franchise agreement, executing a general release, complying with current qualification and training requirements, and paying a renewal fee. The new franchise agreement may also contain materially different terms and conditions than the initial agreement.
