What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, while the franchisee is responsible for ensuring their employees protect confidential information, the document does not explicitly state that Beggars Pizza requires a specific form of non-competition or confidentiality agreement for the franchisee's managers and personnel.

Section 10.1 outlines that the franchisee must not disclose confidential information during or after the term of the agreement, and they must only share such information with employees who need it to operate the restaurant. Section 10.2 indicates that confidentiality agreements are addressed at the franchisee's request, implying that the franchisee is responsible for initiating and managing these agreements with their employees.

Prospective Beggars Pizza franchisees should clarify with the franchisor whether there are recommended or required forms for these agreements to ensure compliance with Beggars Pizza's standards and to adequately protect the brand's confidential information. Understanding the franchisor's expectations regarding these agreements is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the Beggars Pizza system and avoiding potential breaches of confidentiality.
