What is the exception to the uniform initial franchise fee for Beggars Pizza?
Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Except as described above, the initial franchise fee is uniform for all franchises currently being offered.
You must pay us an initial franchise fee of $25,000 for a Beggars Pizza® Restaurant with 150 or fewer seats and $40,000 for a Beggars Pizza® Restaurant with more than 150 seats. The entire initial franchise fee is due when you sign your Franchise Agreement. If you open a second Beggars Pizza® Restaurant with an identical ownership group with each owner having identical ownership interests, we will reduce the initial franchise fee by 50%. The initial franchise fee is fully earned upon receipt and not refundable.
If we permit an affiliate to operate a Beggars Pizza® Restaurant, the affiliate will not pay an initial franchise fee.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is generally uniform, but there are a couple of exceptions. The standard initial franchise fee is $25,000 for a restaurant with 150 or fewer seats and $40,000 for a restaurant with more than 150 seats.
However, if a franchisee opens a second Beggars Pizza restaurant with the same ownership group and identical ownership interests, the initial franchise fee is reduced by 50%. This provides a significant cost savings for existing franchisees looking to expand their operations.
Additionally, if Beggars Pizza permits an affiliate to operate a restaurant, that affiliate will not be required to pay an initial franchise fee. This exception likely applies to internal company-owned stores or special arrangements with business partners, rather than typical franchisees.
