What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee's rights to use confidential methods, procedures, and techniques associated with the Beggars Pizza system, along with any confidential information and proprietary marks, terminate immediately upon the termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement.
Specifically, the franchisee must cease using any confidential methods, procedures, and techniques, the "Beggars Pizza®" mark, and all other proprietary marks and distinctive elements associated with the system. This includes all signs, advertising materials, displays, stationery, forms, products, and any other articles displaying the proprietary marks. This ensures that upon termination or expiration, the franchisee no longer benefits from or represents themselves as part of the Beggars Pizza franchise system.
Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to cancel any assumed name registrations or equivalent registrations containing the "Beggars Pizza®" mark or any other proprietary marks. Evidence of compliance with this cancellation must be provided to Beggars Pizza within five days after the termination or expiration of the agreement. This requirement is in place to prevent any continued association or potential confusion after the franchise relationship ends.
