What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the SpeedLine Pay App agreement defines "Devices" as the Customer's or End Users' mobile telephone or handheld devices. This definition is important because the SpeedLine Pay App is licensed for download and use on these devices, subject to the terms and conditions of the Software License Agreement.
This means that Beggars Pizza franchisees and their employees (End Users) can download the SpeedLine Pay App onto their mobile phones or handheld devices to use the payment processing features. The franchisee is responsible for obtaining any necessary permission from the owners of devices not owned by the franchisee to download the app. The franchisee also accepts responsibility for the use of the SpeedLine Pay App on any Device, regardless of ownership.
Beggars Pizza franchisees must ensure that the SpeedLine Pay App is immediately deleted or removed from an End User's Device if the End User no longer requires the app as part of their duties or ceases employment. This highlights the importance of managing access to the SpeedLine Pay App to maintain security and compliance with the licensing agreement. The franchisee is also responsible for providing the Devices, meeting the operating system requirements, and obtaining Internet access for the SpeedLine Pay App.
