What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the number of terminals a franchisee can use with the SpeedLine Solutions software is determined by the number of SpeedLine Solutions software user licenses received. Specifically, the on-premises implemented software may only be used at the location specified in the Quote and only on the number of terminals that corresponds to the number of user licenses obtained. For certain software programs, usage may be limited to just one of the franchisee's terminals, as detailed in the Quote.
This means that a Beggars Pizza franchisee needs to carefully assess their operational needs and purchase the appropriate number of SpeedLine software licenses to match the number of terminals they intend to use. The initial quote from SpeedLine will specify the number of licenses and corresponding terminals allowed. It is crucial for franchisees to accurately project their terminal requirements to avoid operational bottlenecks or unnecessary expenses.
Furthermore, any changes to the location of the terminals or increases in the number of terminals require prior written consent from SpeedLine. This implies that franchisees cannot simply add more terminals without approval, even if they purchase additional licenses. This requirement allows SpeedLine to maintain control over the software's usage and ensure compliance with licensing terms. Therefore, a Beggars Pizza franchisee should communicate any anticipated changes in terminal needs to SpeedLine well in advance to avoid potential disruptions.
In summary, the number of SpeedLine software user licenses a Beggars Pizza franchisee receives dictates the number of terminals they can operate. Any modifications to this arrangement necessitate SpeedLine's prior written approval, highlighting the importance of accurate initial assessments and proactive communication with SpeedLine regarding any future changes.
