What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Begcom is the designated supplier for certain food items and supplies. These include cheeses, sausages, and paper products. Some of these items bear the Proprietary Marks of Beggars Pizza, while others do not. The document also states that Beggars Pizza may, from time to time, specify in the Manual or in writing other parties that will be designated suppliers for specified products, materials, supplies, paper goods, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment used or sold at the restaurant.
Beggars Pizza franchisees are required to purchase these designated items from Begcom or other specified suppliers to ensure the uniform quality and image associated with the restaurant. This requirement is in place to maintain high operating standards and protect Beggars Pizza's reputation and goodwill.
This means that as a franchisee, you do not have the freedom to choose your own suppliers for these specific items. You must rely on Begcom or other suppliers that Beggars Pizza designates. This ensures consistency across all franchise locations but may also impact your costs and ability to negotiate prices. It is important to understand which items must be purchased from designated suppliers and whether there are any alternative approved suppliers to consider.
