For Beggars Pizza, what is the dependency for the Customer to increase the number of terminals using the SpeedLine software?
Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
LOCATION AND NUMBER OF TERMINALS: The on-premises implemented software may be used only at the Customer's location as specified in the Quote, and only on the number of terminals which is equal to the number of SpeedLine Solutions software user licenses received by the Customer or, in the case of certain of the software programs, only on one (1) of the Customer's terminals, as specified in the Quote.
No change of the location or increase to the number of terminals may be made without the prior written consent of SpeedLine.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, increasing the number of terminals using the SpeedLine software requires prior written consent from SpeedLine. The franchise agreement specifies that the on-premises implemented software can only be used at the location specified in the Quote and on the number of terminals that corresponds to the number of SpeedLine Solutions software user licenses received.
This means that a Beggars Pizza franchisee cannot simply add more terminals without getting approval from SpeedLine. This requirement is in place to ensure that the software is properly licensed and that the system can handle the increased load. It also allows SpeedLine to maintain control over the distribution and use of their software.
For a prospective franchisee, this implies that any plans for expansion or increased sales volume that would necessitate additional terminals must be discussed with SpeedLine and approved in advance. Failure to do so could result in a breach of the franchise agreement. The franchisee should factor in potential delays or costs associated with obtaining this approval when making business decisions.
