What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a customer's use of the SpeedLine service necessitates electronic communication. The agreement with SpeedLine stipulates that "electronic communication is necessary for Customer's use of the Service." This indicates that online orders and other interactions within the SpeedLine system rely on electronic transmission of data.

This reliance on electronic communication has several implications for a Beggars Pizza franchisee. The franchisee is responsible for ensuring they have the necessary equipment, telecommunications, and services to maintain their website, which includes a link to the SpeedLine service. This also means that the franchisee must have a reliable internet connection to facilitate these electronic communications.

Beggars Pizza franchisees should also be aware that SpeedLine is not responsible for any delays, loss, or alteration of electronic communications that occur over networks not owned or operated by SpeedLine, including the Internet. This highlights a potential risk where disruptions in internet service could impact the customer's ability to place orders and the franchisee's ability to process them. The franchisee is responsible for maintaining backups of data collected through the SpeedLine Pay App, as SpeedLine assumes no responsibility for these backups.
