What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the term 'Customer' has two distinct meanings depending on the context. In relation to SpeedLine, a third-party online ordering service, 'Customer' refers to the Beggars Pizza franchisee who enters into an agreement with SpeedLine. This is detailed in section 16.d of the agreement, which defines 'Customer' as 'the individual or legal entity that enters into this Agreement as described on the Quote.' This agreement outlines the terms for using SpeedLine's online ordering services.

In the context of SpeedLine's online ordering service, a 'User' is defined as 'an individual or entity that who places online orders for Customer's food for pick-up or delivery using the Service.' Therefore, the end consumers who order Beggars Pizza through the online platform are considered 'Users,' not 'Customers,' within the SpeedLine agreement. This distinction is important for understanding the flow of data and responsibilities related to the online ordering system.

For a prospective Beggars Pizza franchisee, it's crucial to understand these definitions, as they clarify the different relationships and responsibilities within the online ordering ecosystem. The franchisee is SpeedLine's 'Customer,' responsible for fees and compliance with the SpeedLine agreement, while the individuals ordering pizza are 'Users' whose data is collected and managed according to the agreement's terms. This understanding helps the franchisee manage their obligations and leverage the online ordering service effectively.
