What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee needs prior written consent from Beggars Pizza before making alterations or additions to the premises. This includes any changes to signage, furnishings, equipment, and décor. Beggars Pizza also requires franchisees to ensure that all advertising and promotional materials, signs, decorations, and other items specified by Beggars Pizza bear the Proprietary Marks in the form, color, location, and manner prescribed by Beggars Pizza.

Beggars Pizza can request a refurbishment of the premises, but no more than once every five years, unless the franchisee's lease requires it sooner. This refurbishment is at the franchisee's expense and must conform to the building design, trade dress, color schemes, and presentation of the Proprietary Marks consistent with the current image for new Beggars Pizza restaurants. This may include structural changes, remodeling, redecoration, and modifications to existing improvements.

Upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, the franchisee must immediately cease using all Proprietary Marks, including on signs and advertising materials. The franchisee may also need to make modifications to the premises to distinguish its appearance from a Beggars Pizza restaurant, as specified by Beggars Pizza. If the franchisee fails to do so, Beggars Pizza has the right to enter the premises to make these changes.
