What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the Licensor requires the franchisee to purchase equipment and software that meets specific standards from an approved supplier, the franchisee is responsible for ensuring that the equipment and software described in the quote from SpeedLine meets those required specifications and standards. Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for having SpeedLine approved as a supplier of the equipment and software.
In simpler terms, if Beggars Pizza mandates that franchisees buy certain equipment or software from a pre-approved list of vendors, it's the franchisee's duty to confirm that SpeedLine's offerings align with Beggars Pizza's standards. Furthermore, the franchisee must ensure that SpeedLine secures formal approval as an authorized supplier for Beggars Pizza.
This requirement places the onus on the franchisee to manage compliance and approval processes between SpeedLine and Beggars Pizza. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the specific equipment and software requirements set by Beggars Pizza and to communicate these clearly to SpeedLine. Additionally, franchisees should proactively engage with Beggars Pizza to facilitate SpeedLine's approval as a supplier, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and adherence to brand standards.
