What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, if Beggars Pizza requires its customers to purchase equipment and software that meets Beggars Pizza's specifications from an approved supplier, the customer (franchisee) is responsible for ensuring that the equipment and software described in the quote from SpeedLine meets those specifications.
In this case, the franchisee is also responsible for having SpeedLine approved as a supplier of the equipment and software detailed in the quote. This means that Beggars Pizza franchisees must verify that SpeedLine's offerings align with Beggars Pizza's standards and that SpeedLine itself gains approval as a vendor.
This requirement ensures that all equipment and software used by Beggars Pizza franchisees meet the brand's standards, maintaining consistency and quality across all locations. It also places the onus on the franchisee to manage the approval process, which may involve additional steps and coordination with both Beggars Pizza and SpeedLine.
