Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
The on-premises implemented software may be used only at the Customer's location as specified in the Quote, and only on the number of terminals which is equal to the number of SpeedLine Solutions software user licenses received by the Customer or, in the case of certain of the software programs, only on one (1) of the Customer's terminals, as specified in the Quote.
No change of the location or increase to the number of terminals may be made without the prior written consent of SpeedLine.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee needs prior written consent from SpeedLine to increase the number of terminals using the SpeedLine software. The number of terminals must be equal to the number of SpeedLine Solutions software user licenses received by the customer, as specified in the Quote.
This requirement ensures that Beggars Pizza franchisees adhere to the licensing terms of the SpeedLine software. It prevents unauthorized use of the software on more terminals than licensed, which could lead to copyright infringement or breach of contract. Franchisees must, therefore, plan their software needs carefully and obtain the necessary licenses for all terminals they intend to use.
This condition is typical in franchise agreements involving proprietary software. Franchisors need to protect their intellectual property and ensure that franchisees comply with software licensing terms. For a prospective Beggars Pizza franchisee, this means including the cost of necessary software licenses in their initial investment and budgeting for potential future expansion that may require additional licenses.
