What is the condition for Beggars Pizza to approve a lease?
Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must submit your proposed lease to us for approval. We will only approve a lease if you and the landlord have signed a conditional assignment of lease in the form attached as Exhibit G of the Franchise Agreement which provides that we may assume the lease if you default under your lease or your Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee needs to acquire a lease for their restaurant location, Beggars Pizza requires a specific condition to be met before they will approve it. Specifically, Beggars Pizza requires that the franchisee and the landlord sign a conditional assignment of lease.
This conditional assignment of lease must be in the form attached as Exhibit G of the Franchise Agreement. The purpose of this assignment is to protect Beggars Pizza's interests.
The conditional assignment of lease ensures that Beggars Pizza has the right to assume the lease if the franchisee defaults on either the lease agreement with the landlord or the Franchise Agreement with Beggars Pizza. This provision allows Beggars Pizza to maintain control over the location and potentially continue operations, even if the original franchisee is unable to do so.
