What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain and maintain computer hardware and software that meets the franchisor's specifications throughout the franchise term. Unless Beggars Pizza consents to the use of a different brand, franchisees are required to use Speedline software in their restaurants. The FDD specifies that neither Beggars Pizza nor its affiliates will derive any revenue from the franchisee's purchase of Speedline software.

This requirement ensures uniformity and compatibility across all Beggars Pizza locations, which is a common practice in franchising. Standardized software helps maintain consistent operations, reporting, and customer service. Using Speedline software allows Beggars Pizza to monitor sales data and implement system-wide updates or promotions efficiently.

Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific hardware requirements and any associated costs for installing and maintaining the Speedline software. Understanding these technology requirements is crucial for budgeting and ensuring smooth operations from the outset. Franchisees should also clarify the process for requesting approval to use alternative software brands if they prefer something different than Speedline.
