What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will be notified of changes to designated suppliers either in the Manual or otherwise in writing. Franchisees are required to purchase all food items, ingredients, supplies, materials, and other products and equipment from Beggars Pizza, an affiliate, or designated suppliers that meet the franchisor's standards and specifications. These suppliers must demonstrate the ability to meet Beggars Pizza's standards, possess adequate quality controls, and have the capacity to supply the franchisee's needs promptly and reliably.

This means that a Beggars Pizza franchisee must stay informed of any updates to the approved supplier list by regularly consulting the Manual and any written notices from the franchisor. Failure to purchase from approved suppliers could result in a breach of the franchise agreement. Beggars Pizza retains the right to require franchisees to purchase approved products, equipment, and merchandise solely from them or an affiliate.

This requirement ensures consistency and quality across all Beggars Pizza locations, but it also limits the franchisee's autonomy in sourcing products. Franchisees should maintain open communication with Beggars Pizza to stay updated on any changes to approved suppliers and to understand the reasons behind those changes. It is also important to understand the process for requesting approval of alternative suppliers if a franchisee believes they can source comparable products at a better price or with better service.
