What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must operate their restaurant solely for the business franchised under the agreement. A franchisee must not use or permit the use of the premises for any other purpose or activity at any time without first obtaining written consent from Beggars Pizza. The franchisee must also keep the restaurant open and in normal operation for the minimum hours and days that Beggars Pizza specifies.
This means a Beggars Pizza franchisee risks violating their franchise agreement and potentially their lease if they conduct any business activities not directly related to the operation of the Beggars Pizza restaurant without prior approval. This restriction ensures that the franchisee focuses solely on the Beggars Pizza business and upholds the brand's standards and reputation.
It is important for prospective franchisees to understand that Beggars Pizza maintains strict control over the use of the premises. Deviation from these standards without written consent could lead to penalties or termination of the franchise agreement, ultimately affecting the franchisee's lease and business operations. Franchisees should communicate with Beggars Pizza regarding any potential additional uses of the premises to avoid any conflicts or violations of the agreement.
