What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Restaurant' is defined as the Beggars Pizza restaurant that the franchisee is obligated to establish and operate under the Proprietary Marks and System. The franchisee is granted the right to operate the Beggars Pizza restaurant under the terms and conditions outlined in the franchise agreement. The Proprietary Marks and System may be changed and improved at Beggars Pizza's discretion, and the franchisee can only use them in connection with the operation of the Restaurant.

The Beggars Pizza franchise agreement specifies that the franchisee must operate the Restaurant only at the location identified in Exhibit A, which is referred to as the 'Approved Location'. If a location has not been secured and approved when the agreement is signed, the franchisee has 90 days to find a location, subject to Beggars Pizza's approval as detailed in the Site Selection Addendum (Exhibit B). The franchisee cannot relocate the Restaurant without prior written approval from Beggars Pizza, which Beggars Pizza may withhold at its discretion.

This definition is important for prospective franchisees as it clearly defines the scope of the franchise granted. It emphasizes that the franchisee's rights are limited to operating a Beggars Pizza restaurant at an approved location and in accordance with Beggars Pizza's standards and system. The franchisee must adhere to the approved location and cannot deviate from it without permission, ensuring consistency and quality control within the Beggars Pizza franchise system.
