What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to allocate a minimum of $15,000 for grand opening advertising and promotion. This promotional period begins at least 60 days before the studio's opening and extends for 30 days after the opening.

This requirement ensures that new Beem Light Sauna locations launch with sufficient marketing to attract initial customers and build brand awareness in the local market. The franchisor retains the right to modify the franchisee's grand opening plan and may require the use of a public relations firm to assist with the grand opening, giving Beem Light Sauna some control over the initial marketing efforts.

It is important to note that the wages and payroll-related expenses of the franchisee's employees cannot be credited towards the $15,000 spending requirement. Additionally, any amount spent on the grand opening will not count towards the general marketing spending requirement. Beem Light Sauna also reserves the right to manage the grand opening advertising and promotion directly, in which case the franchisee would pay the $15,000 to the franchisor for them to execute the plan.

Prospective franchisees should carefully consider this grand opening advertising expense as part of their initial investment and understand the franchisor's approval process for the advertising plan. Understanding the specific requirements and potential for franchisor involvement is crucial for a successful launch.
