What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beem Light Sauna Franchise Disclosure Document, Beem Light Sauna has specific rights regarding communication during a proposed transfer of a franchise. If a franchisee or any of their owners desires to make a transfer, they must promptly provide Beem Light Sauna with advance written notice. This notice must include a copy of all proposed contracts and any other information concerning the transfer and the proposed transferee that Beem Light Sauna reasonably requires.
Beem Light Sauna explicitly retains the right to communicate with the franchisee, their counsel, and the proposed transferee on any aspect of the proposed transfer. This allows Beem Light Sauna to gather necessary information, assess the suitability of the transferee, and ensure that the transfer aligns with the brand's standards and interests. No transfer requiring Beem Light Sauna's consent can be completed until at least 60 days after Beem Light Sauna receives written notice of the proposed transfer, providing them ample time to conduct their due diligence and communicate with all parties involved.
This communication right is a standard practice in franchising, allowing the franchisor to maintain control over who enters their system and to protect the brand's integrity. For a prospective Beem Light Sauna franchisee, this means that if they ever decide to sell their franchise, Beem Light Sauna will be actively involved in the process, with the ability to communicate directly with all parties to ensure a smooth and compliant transfer.
