What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the responsibility for training other employees falls on the Required Trainees. The franchisee's Required Trainees are responsible for training all other employees and subsequent Designated Managers in accordance with Beem Light Sauna's standards and training programs.
However, Beem Light Sauna retains the right to ensure proper training. If Beem Light Sauna believes the franchisee has failed to adequately train their employees, they can prohibit the franchisee from training additional employees. In this case, Beem Light Sauna can require the employees to attend training at their headquarters, with the franchisee paying a training fee of up to $1,000 (currently $500) per trainee per day. Alternatively, Beem Light Sauna can send one of their representatives to train the employees at the studio, with the franchisee covering the costs and expenses.
This arrangement highlights the importance of the initial training provided to the Required Trainees, as their competence directly impacts the training of all other staff. It also demonstrates Beem Light Sauna's commitment to maintaining consistent standards across all franchise locations, even if it means intervening directly in employee training and charging the franchisee for the additional support.
