What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use the Membership Agreements and related waivers that Beem Light Sauna provides, modifying them as necessary to comply with local laws. However, any modifications to these agreements or waivers must be approved by Beem Light Sauna. This requirement ensures that all franchise locations use agreements and waivers that align with the brand's standards and legal requirements, even while accommodating local legal variations.
This approval process is a common practice in franchising, allowing the franchisor to maintain uniformity and protect the brand's legal interests. For a prospective Beem Light Sauna franchisee, this means that while they can adapt the standard agreements to fit local laws, they cannot make arbitrary changes without the franchisor's consent. This protects both the franchisee and the franchisor by ensuring all agreements are legally sound and consistent with the Beem Light Sauna brand.
Therefore, a Beem Light Sauna franchisee should factor in the time required to obtain approval for any modified agreements or waivers. It would be prudent to discuss potential modifications with Beem Light Sauna during the due diligence phase to understand the approval process and any potential issues that may arise.
