What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the royalty fee is currently due weekly by the 5th of each month, which is referred to as the "Payment Due Date." The royalty fee is 8% of the Gross Sales of the Studio. Gross Sales is defined in Note 2 of the FDD.
In addition to the royalty fee, Beem Light Sauna franchisees also pay a Brand Fund Fee, which is currently 2% of Gross Sales. The Payment Due Date for the Brand Fund Fee is the same as the royalty fee. Beem Light Sauna may increase the Brand Fund Fee up to 4% of Gross Sales.
Beem Light Sauna franchisees also pay a Technology Fee that is currently $550 per month, with the same Payment Due Date as the royalty fee and Brand Fund Fee. Franchisees will begin paying a Technology Fee of $450 per month during their presale period, which starts three months prior to the studio opening. Beem Light Sauna may increase the Technology Fee from time to time, but it will not exceed the greater of $1,200 per month or 2% of the Gross Sales of the Studio. If a Beem Light Sauna franchisee elects to have Beem Light Sauna or its affiliate conduct local advertising and promotion activities for their Studio, they will pay an Ad Management Fee that is currently $850 per month, with the same Payment Due Date as the other fees. The fee may be increased upon prior written notice, but will not exceed $1,500 per month. Franchisees will also pay the amount that they intend to spend on such local marketing. Ad management fees will not count towards the Marketing Spending Requirement. If the franchisee retains Beem Light Sauna's approved supplier to conduct such local marketing on their behalf, they will pay the supplier directly.
