What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the standard timeframe to complete construction and open a studio for business is 270 days from the franchise agreement's effective date. This is referred to as the "Opening Deadline." However, Beem Light Sauna may grant an extension to this deadline at their discretion.
If Beem Light Sauna grants an extension, it will be provided in writing. The franchisor may also require the franchisee to meet certain conditions in order to receive the extension. These conditions may include paying an extension fee of $2,500 for each month (or portion thereof) that the deadline is extended. Additionally, Beem Light Sauna may require the franchisee to execute a general release.
It is important to note that failing to open for business by the Opening Deadline, without an approved extension, constitutes an event of default under the franchise agreement. This could lead to penalties or termination of the agreement. Therefore, franchisees should proactively communicate with Beem Light Sauna if they anticipate any delays in meeting the initial deadline.
