What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to spend a minimum amount each month on local advertising and promotional activities. Specifically, Beem Light Sauna mandates a minimum monthly expenditure of $1,500 for these marketing efforts. This is referred to as the "Marketing Spending Requirement".
This Marketing Spending Requirement is separate from the Brand Fund Fee, meaning franchisees must budget for both expenses. Beem Light Sauna retains the right to specify what types of expenditures will and will not count towards fulfilling this $1,500 monthly requirement, as outlined in their manuals. Franchisees must also provide documentation to verify their compliance with this spending requirement upon request.
If a Beem Light Sauna franchisee fails to meet the minimum $1,500 marketing expenditure in any given month, Beem Light Sauna has the right to collect the shortfall. They may treat the unpaid amount as an additional Brand Fund Fee or use it themselves for local marketing initiatives benefiting the franchisee's studio. This ensures that all franchisees contribute to local marketing efforts, even if they don't directly manage the campaigns themselves.
