What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must open their studio for business within 270 days of the Effective Date. This deadline may be extended at Beem Light Sauna's discretion.
Beem Light Sauna may require the franchisee to pay an extension fee of $2,500 for each month (or portion thereof) that the opening deadline is extended. Additionally, Beem Light Sauna may require the franchisee to execute a general release as a condition of granting the extension.
This means that if a Beem Light Sauna franchisee needs more time to complete construction and open their studio, they may incur significant additional costs. For example, a three-month extension would cost $7,500. The franchisee should factor in potential delays and the associated extension fees when planning their budget and timeline. The requirement to sign a general release could also have legal implications that the franchisee should discuss with their attorney.
