What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Required Trainees' are defined as the franchisee (or the Operating Principal if the franchisee is an entity) and the Designated Manager. These individuals must personally attend and satisfactorily complete Beem Light Sauna's initial training program. This training must occur at least 30 days before the studio opens, or by an earlier deadline specified by Beem Light Sauna.
Beem Light Sauna provides this initial training for the Required Trainees at no additional charge, provided all trainees attend the same training session. However, Beem Light Sauna reserves the right to charge a training fee of up to $1,000 (currently, $500) per trainee per day for subsequent training programs. This includes individuals repeating the program, replacing someone who didn't pass, or any subsequent Operating Principal, Designated Manager, or employee attending the program.
It is important to note that while the initial training itself is provided at no additional charge for the initial Required Trainees, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and living expenses incurred by their trainees during the training period. This could represent a significant cost, especially if travel distances are substantial or the training period is extended. Prospective franchisees should factor these potential costs into their initial investment calculations. Understanding the full scope of training-related expenses is crucial for accurate financial planning when considering a Beem Light Sauna franchise.
