What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the deadline for completing the initial training program is at least 30 days prior to opening the studio, unless Beem Light Sauna specifies an earlier deadline. This applies to the franchisee (or the Operating Principal if the franchisee is an entity) and the Designated Manager, collectively referred to as "Required Trainees." Satisfactory completion of the initial training is mandatory for these individuals.
Beem Light Sauna provides the initial training at no additional charge for the initial Required Trainees, provided they all attend the same training session. However, Beem Light Sauna reserves the right to charge a training fee of up to $1,000 (currently, $500) per trainee per day for subsequent training programs. This includes individuals repeating the program, replacing someone who didn't pass, or any subsequent Operating Principal, Designated Manager, or employee attending the program. Franchisees are responsible for covering the travel and living expenses of their trainees.
This requirement ensures that franchisees and their key personnel are adequately prepared to operate a Beem Light Sauna studio according to the franchisor's standards. Failing to meet the training deadline or not having the required personnel complete the training could delay the studio opening and potentially incur additional costs for subsequent training sessions. Prospective franchisees should carefully note these deadlines and budget accordingly for travel and accommodation expenses associated with the training.
