What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Brand Fund is established and administered by the franchisor. The Brand Fund fee is currently 2% of the Gross Sales of the Studio, payable weekly by the 5th of each month.
Beem Light Sauna retains the right to increase the Brand Fund fee up to 4% of the Gross Sales. Gross Sales is defined as all revenue received from operating the studio, including cash, credit, debit cards, gift cards, and other credit transactions. It also includes proceeds from business interruption insurance related to revenue loss. Gross Sales does not include bona fide returns, credits to customers, or sales taxes collected and remitted to the appropriate taxing authority.
Franchisees should be aware that the Brand Fund is used for the benefit of the entire Beem Light Sauna system, and while the franchisor administers the fund, franchisees may have limited direct control over how the funds are spent. It is common in franchising for franchisors to manage brand funds, using them for system-wide marketing and advertising efforts. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific uses of the Brand Fund and any franchisee input mechanisms.
