What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beem Light Sauna's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Parent' refers to any entity that directly or indirectly controls the franchisee. This definition is important because it clarifies the legal relationships and responsibilities within the Beem Light Sauna franchise system.
For a prospective franchisee, understanding this definition is crucial. If the franchisee is a business entity (like a corporation or LLC) rather than an individual, the 'Parent' would be the entity or individual that has controlling ownership of the franchisee's business. This controlling entity might have to provide financial guarantees or assume certain obligations under the franchise agreement.
This definition ensures that Beem Light Sauna knows who ultimately controls the franchise and has recourse to that controlling entity if the franchisee fails to meet its obligations. It is a common practice in franchising to identify and, if necessary, involve the parent entity to secure the franchisee's commitments.
