What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have obligations related to staffing, as outlined in Item 9 and connected to the training and support detailed in Item 11. Item 9 references Section 8.6 and 11 of the franchise agreement, and Items 11 and 15 of the FDD, indicating that franchisee's participation, management, and staffing are all franchisee obligations.

The Beehive Homes franchise provides initial training that addresses personnel training. Specifically, a Beehive Homes representative will assist the franchisee in hiring staff and training personnel in connection with the opening of the Home. The franchisee and their resident manager are required to complete a training program of up to three days. The training program is based on the Bee Hive Homes Policy and Procedure Manual and the Bee Hive Homes Owner/Operator Training Outline.

During the operation of the Beehive Homes franchise, a representative will reasonably assist the franchisee with any operational problems and will be available to consult with the franchisee during the continuing operations of the Home. This support extends to ongoing staffing issues, as needed. The FDD emphasizes that Beehive Homes are generally staffed with from 1 to 4 persons, depending upon the time of day, with higher staffing generally required in the mornings and lower staffing at night.

While Beehive Homes offers support in hiring and training staff, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for the ongoing management and staffing of their location. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific content of the training program related to staff management and retention, as well as the nature and frequency of ongoing support from Beehive Homes representatives.
