What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, signing and dating Exhibit J, the receipt, is an acknowledgment that the prospective franchisee received the FDD. This receipt confirms that Beehive Homes provided the FDD to the potential franchisee at least 14 calendar days before signing any binding agreements or making any payments related to the franchise. This 14-day period allows the prospective franchisee adequate time to review the document and seek professional advice.
The FDD includes critical information about the Beehive Homes franchise, such as the franchise agreement, financial statements, and lists of current and former franchisees. By signing the receipt, the franchisee acknowledges they have received these important exhibits (A through J) and are aware of their contents. This helps protect both the franchisee and Beehive Homes by documenting that the franchisee had access to all required information before committing to the franchise.
There are two versions of Exhibit J. One copy of the signed receipt is to be retained by the prospective franchisee for their records. The other signed copy is to be returned to Beehive Homes. This dual requirement ensures that both parties have proof of receipt, further solidifying the documentation process and providing a clear record of compliance with disclosure requirements.
