Who selects the location of a Beehive Homes franchise?
Beehive_Homes Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
- B.
YOU select, with OUR approval, the location of YOUR Bee Hive Home.
In determining whether to approve any particular site WE will consider things like: analysis of traffic patterns, both vehicular and pedestrian; proximity to grocery or retail stores; population, age and income demographics; and proximity to competing businesses.
If YOU are unable to find a location that meets the requirements for a HOME in six months, YOUR franchise agreement will be terminated and any franchise fees paid will be refunded to YOU.
Approval by US is not a representation or endorsement to YOU of successful operation of a franchise.
WE do not own any premises for lease to franchisees.
YOU are responsible for conforming YOUR site to applicable ordinances, codes and zoning. (paragraph 7.1 of the Franchise Agreement)
- C.
The typical length of time between the signing of the Franchise Agreement with the accompanying payment of one-third (1/3) of the initial franchise fee and the opening of YOUR Bee Hive Home can vary greatly, up to 18 months to 30 months.
Factors affecting this length of time usually include obtaining a satisfactory location, financing arrangements, finalizing architectural plans conforming with applicable building codes, local zoning and ordinance compliance, permitting, site improvement, construction of the Home and delivery and installation of decor, fixtures and equipment.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is primarily responsible for selecting the location of their Beehive Homes franchise, but this selection is subject to the franchisor's approval. The franchisor will assess the proposed site based on factors such as traffic patterns (vehicular and pedestrian), proximity to retail stores, population demographics (age and income), and the presence of competing businesses.
This approval process is crucial for prospective Beehive Homes franchisees. While the franchisee has the freedom to identify potential locations, the franchisor retains the right to reject a site that does not meet their criteria. This ensures that new Beehive Homes locations are likely to succeed based on established market analysis factors. If a franchisee is unable to secure an approved location within six months, the franchise agreement can be terminated, and the franchise fees will be refunded.
Furthermore, the FDD states that the franchisee is responsible for ensuring the site complies with all applicable local ordinances, codes, and zoning regulations. The franchisor does not provide premises for lease and does not assist in construction, remodeling, or decorating. The time between signing the franchise agreement and opening the Beehive Homes location can range from 18 to 30 months, influenced by factors like securing a suitable location, arranging financing, finalizing architectural plans, obtaining permits, and completing site improvements and construction.
