What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beehive Homes Franchise Disclosure Document, Beehive Homes offers limited assistance to franchisees. Specifically, Beehive Homes will provide assistance and guidance, upon request, in negotiating construction, equipment, and supply contracts for the construction, furnishing, and equipping of the Home. However, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for the terms of all contracts and for exercising adequate supervision. Beehive Homes does not assist in the physical construction, remodeling, or decorating of the site.
Prior to opening a Beehive Homes location, the franchisor will grant a nonexclusive license to use their trademarks and service marks. They will also provide general architectural and design drawings for the franchisee to submit to their own architect for rendering. Beehive Homes will also provide an itemization of all equipment and supplies to be used in the operation of the Home.
The franchisee is responsible for engaging an architect and engineer, at their own expense, to prepare the final specifications and drawings. These professionals must also provide necessary stamps and certifications to be submitted for approval by local government agencies and by the franchisor. All parties must approve the plans before construction can begin.
While Beehive Homes offers assistance in negotiating contracts, the franchisee bears the ultimate responsibility for the terms and supervision of these contracts. This is a fairly typical arrangement in franchising, where the franchisor provides guidance but the franchisee manages the execution and bears the associated risks.
