What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beehive Homes will provide opening supervision to assist franchisees in the preparation and opening of their Beehive Homes location. A representative from Beehive Homes will assist the franchisee in several key areas, including hiring staff, training personnel, marketing, inventory control, and promotional programs. This support is designed to help the franchisee navigate the initial stages of setting up and launching their Beehive Homes business.

Prior to opening, franchisees and their resident managers are required to complete a training program of up to three days at a location designated by Beehive Homes. This training covers the practices, policies, and procedures for operating a Beehive Homes franchise. The training program is based on the Beehive Homes Policy and Procedure Manual and the Beehive Homes Owner/Operator Training Outline. Franchisees must also demonstrate reasonable knowledge of Home operations at the end of the training program.

While Beehive Homes offers assistance in certain areas, franchisees are ultimately responsible for various aspects of the opening process. For example, franchisees are responsible for engaging an architect and engineer to prepare final specifications and drawings for local government approval. Franchisees are also responsible for conforming their site to applicable ordinances, codes, and zoning regulations. Although Beehive Homes may offer assistance and guidance in negotiating construction, equipment, and supply contracts, franchisees are solely responsible for the terms of all contracts and exercising adequate supervision.

Beehive Homes may also provide consultation and assistance to franchisees during visits by their representatives, although they are not obligated to do so. Additionally, Beehive Homes may enter into separate consulting contracts with franchisees to provide individual counseling for their Home, with compensation starting at $300.00 per day, which includes all costs for their representatives. This ongoing support, while not guaranteed, can be a valuable resource for franchisees as they manage and grow their Beehive Homes business.
