What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for additional franchises is not refundable. Franchisees in good standing who have all their franchised homes open and operating can acquire additional franchises. The franchise fee for each additional franchise is $50,000, payable in full upon the execution of a franchise agreement. This fee is considered fully earned and nonrefundable upon payment.
This means that if a franchisee decides to expand their Beehive Homes business by acquiring additional franchise locations, they must pay $50,000 for each new franchise. Once the franchise agreement is signed and the fee is paid, the franchisee cannot get a refund, even if they later decide not to proceed with opening the additional location. This policy is common in franchising, as the franchisor incurs costs in evaluating and approving the new location and providing initial support.
It is important for prospective Beehive Homes franchisees to carefully consider their expansion plans and financial capabilities before committing to additional franchises, as the $50,000 fee is nonrefundable. The FDD also states that this fee is subject to change, and acquiring additional franchises is subject to approval by Beehive Homes. Therefore, franchisees should confirm the current fee and approval requirements with Beehive Homes before entering into any agreements.
