Bee Hive Homes of Idaho, Inc. began the business of assisted living and residential care in September 1987. It began offering franchises in November 1992. In August 1996, as part of a reorganization of the franchise business, Bee Hive Homes of Idaho, Inc. transferred all of its rights to the franchise system and the names and marks to Bee Hive Homes of America, Inc. In October 1996, as part of a further reorganization of the franchise business along geographic lines, Bee Hive Homes of America, Inc. licensed its franchise business to (i) Bee Hive Homes, Inc. for the area including all of North America excepting Ada County, Idaho; Canyon County, Idaho; the State of Utah and Clark County, Nevada; (ii) Bee Hive Homes of Idaho, Inc. for the area including Ada County, Idaho and Canyon County, Idaho; and (iii) Bee Hive Homes of Utah, Inc. for the area including the State of Utah and Clark County, Nevada. In March 2000, as part of a further reorganization, Bee Hive Homes, Inc. discontinued the offer and sale of franchises. Bee Hive Homes of Idaho, Inc. also discontinued the offer and sale of franchises. In June 2000 Bee Hive Homes of America, Inc. licensed its franchise business to Bee Hive Homes Intermountain, Inc. for the area including all of North America excepting the State of Utah and Clark County, Nevada. In March 2008, Bee Hive Homes of America, Inc. entered into a license agreement with Bee Hive Homes, Inc. providing that Bee Hive Homes, Inc. would offer and sell franchises in all of North America, excepting the state of Utah and Clark County, Nevada, which would be serviced by Bee Hive Homes of Utah, Inc. Effective January 1, 2020, Bee Hives Homes, Inc. and Bee Hive Homes of Utah, Inc. were merged with and into Bee Hive Homes Intermountain, Inc. and Bee Hive Homes Intermountain changed its name to Bee Hive Homes, Inc. According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beehive Homes of Idaho, Inc. did discontinue offering and selling franchises in March 2000. This was part of a larger reorganization of the franchise business. The company initially began offering franchises in November 1992. Later, in August 1996, Beehive Homes of Idaho, Inc. transferred its franchise rights to Beehive Homes of America, Inc.
In October 1996, Beehive Homes of America, Inc. licensed its franchise business to multiple entities based on geographic areas, including Beehive Homes of Idaho, Inc. for Ada and Canyon Counties in Idaho. However, this arrangement changed again in March 2000 when Beehive Homes of Idaho, Inc., along with Beehive Homes, Inc., discontinued offering franchises as part of another reorganization.
