What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beehive Homes Franchise Disclosure Document, Exhibit A lists the state franchise administrators and agents for service of process. Additionally, the document mentions that Beehive Homes is engaged in franchising in various states. The document also states that other states may require registration, filing, or exemption of a franchise under other laws, such as those that regulate the offer and sale of business opportunities or seller-assisted marketing plans. In all other states, the effective date of the Franchise Disclosure Document is the Issue Date.
This implies that the state-specific addenda (Exhibit H) apply only to those states that require specific modifications or disclosures to the standard franchise agreement due to their individual franchise laws. For a prospective Beehive Homes franchisee, this means carefully reviewing Exhibit A and Exhibit H to understand if any state-specific regulations or addenda apply to the state in which they plan to operate their franchise.
If the state is listed in Exhibit A or has a state-specific addendum in Exhibit H, the franchisee must comply with those additional requirements. The FDD also states that if Beehive Homes does not deliver the Franchise Disclosure Document on time or if it contains a false or misleading statement, or a material omission, a violation of federal law and state law may have occurred and should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission, Washington, DC 20580 and the state agency listed on Exhibit A. Therefore, it is crucial to consult with a franchise attorney to ensure full compliance with all applicable state and federal laws before signing any agreement or making any payments to Beehive Homes.
