What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beehive Homes will not be liable for any franchisee's debts or obligations. The franchise agreement specifies that the franchisee must not use Beehive Homes' names and marks in any way that could create liability for the franchisor regarding the franchisee's debts.
Beehive Homes and its franchisees are considered independent contractors, not joint ventures, partners, employees, or agents of each other. This distinction is crucial, as it reinforces that franchisees are responsible for their own financial obligations. Franchisees must also clearly represent themselves as independently owned and operated businesses in all interactions with customers, suppliers, and other parties.
This separation of liability is a standard practice in franchising. It protects Beehive Homes from being held responsible for the financial missteps or debts incurred by individual franchisees. However, franchisees must adhere to the guidelines and restrictions set forth in the franchise agreement to maintain this separation and avoid actions that could potentially create liability for Beehive Homes.
