What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beehive Homes's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, a franchisee must immediately stop using the Names and Marks, Trade Secrets, and Copyrighted Materials. The franchisee is then required to either return to Beehive Homes or destroy, at Beehive Homes's election, all documents, instructions, displays, and advertising items related to these proprietary assets. This includes ceasing the use of the Trade Name. This ensures that all rights and goodwill associated with the brand revert back to Beehive Homes.

This provision is standard in franchising to protect the brand's intellectual property and prevent former franchisees from unfairly competing or misrepresenting themselves as part of the Beehive Homes system. By requiring the return or destruction of branded materials, Beehive Homes maintains control over its image and standards.

For a prospective Beehive Homes franchisee, this means understanding that the right to use the brand's identity is strictly tied to the term of the franchise agreement. Upon termination, all association with the brand must cease, and materials bearing the brand's trademarks must be handled as directed by Beehive Homes. Failure to comply could result in legal action from Beehive Homes to protect its brand and enforce the terms of the franchise agreement.
