What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must maintain the confidentiality of the Proprietary Information both during and after the term of the Franchise Agreement. Proprietary Information includes all information or materials concerning the development, operation, marketing, and licensing of the Beehive Homes system. This includes the Standards and the Manual, whether developed by Beehive Homes, the franchisee, or another person.
The franchisee agrees not to use the Proprietary Information in any business or for any purpose other than in the development and operation of the Beehive Homes facility under the Beehive Homes system. This restriction extends beyond the active term of the agreement, meaning that even after the franchise agreement expires or is terminated, the franchisee is still obligated to keep this information confidential.
To protect this information, the franchisee must not make unauthorized copies of any Proprietary Information. They must also implement procedures that Beehive Homes may periodically establish to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure. These procedures include placing restrictions on disclosing information to employees and using non-disclosure and non-competition clauses in agreements with employees, agents, and independent contractors who have access to the Proprietary Information. This ensures that all parties involved are legally bound to protect the confidentiality of Beehive Homes' sensitive business information.
