What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for a franchise located in Virginia, all other terms and provisions contained in the Franchise Agreement remain in full force and effect, except to the extent specifically modified within the Virginia Retail Franchising Act amendment. This means that while Virginia franchisees must adhere to the state's specific regulations outlined in the amendment, all other aspects of the standard Beehive Homes Franchise Agreement remain binding.
This provision ensures that the core operational standards, brand guidelines, and mutual obligations defined in the Franchise Agreement apply to Virginia locations, promoting consistency across the Beehive Homes franchise system. However, prospective franchisees should carefully review the Virginia-specific amendments to understand how they might alter or supersede certain clauses of the standard agreement.
For example, the amendment addresses the payment of the initial franchise fee, deferring it until Beehive Homes has completed its pre-opening obligations. Franchisees in Virginia should be aware of this modification, as it affects the timing of their initial investment. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand both the standard Franchise Agreement and any state-specific addenda to fully grasp their rights and responsibilities.
